Digital TICKETING GUIDE
York Stadium Management Company is delighted to offer a new Digital Ticketing Service which will deliver the best possible fan experience for supporters of the clubs using the LNER Community Stadium moving forwards.
The new service will allow supporters to store their Season Tickets or Match Day Tickets straight to their mobiles through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet via their club’s own ticketing app.
York RLFC 2024 Season Tickets and Match Day Tickets will be available in this new format with immediate effect, along with all York SMC hosted Match Day Tickets. A transition to the new service provider for York City Football Club’s Match Day and Season Tickets is also planned, with details to be announced by the club in due course.
The new Digital Ticketing Service will complement existing ticket printing services. This means that all Season Tickets and Match Tickets that are purchased using the new platform can be securely stored in your own private account and accessed using your phone through your club specific app.
There are numerous benefits by moving to Digital Ticketing. Not only is it more efficient for clubs’ supporters and match day stewards (by improving turnstile access flows) it is also more secure, safe, and allows for contactless entry into the LNER Community Stadium. It’s also environmentally friendly, thanks to the vast reduction in waste that will be generated.
All you need to do is click on the link emailed to you confirming your online ticket order and create an account using the same email address that you used to purchase your Season Tickets. Once your account is created and you have logged in, all of your Season Ticket or Match Day Tickets will be there waiting for you!
With an iPhone or Android smartphone, the app can easily be added to your home screen.

- This process allows you to access your Season Ticket or Match Day Ticket within seconds.
Once you have followed the above steps, the currently available icon(s) appearing on your home-screen will look as follows (depending upon which club you have bought your tickets for):
You may then wish to add your ticket(s) to your Digital Wallet for added peace of mind, security and ease of access.
Simply access your online ticket(s) via the ‘Orders’ drop down menu within the home page of the app, select the relevant match day ticket order and then scroll down on the ticket information to see your download icon (as below, depending on your smartphone type) - then click on it!
Your digital ticket will now be stored on your smartphone.
If you follow the above instructions, any pdf ticket(s) sent to you with your email confirmation need not be printed or used on match days to gain entry to the stadium. The digital ticket is automatically included within your account on your app when you create it. Your digital ticket (either within your club app – or once downloaded into your iPhone or Android wallet) will provide you with required access when presented to the turnstile readers.
You will be unable to gain entry to the stadium using your pdf (printed at home) ticket if you first use your digital. Likewise, you will be unable to gain entry to the stadium using your digital ticket if you use your pdf (printed at home) first.
In addition, and as a reminder, entry will not be possible using screen shots of either pdf or digital tickets as the turnstile readers are able to identify the differences.
Yes. From within your app, you can send a Digital Season Ticket or Match Day Ticket(s) to another individual – either as a permanent transfer (for a Season Ticket) or a one-off transfer (for either a Season Ticket or Match Day Ticket).
- Using the ‘Orders’ dropdown menu on the home page of your club app, select the appropriate order from which you wish to transfer a Ticket
- You will see the ticket details along with a ‘transfer’ icon which you can press to then allow you to complete the ‘Transfer Order Tickets’ details
- Select the available ticket(s), enter the email address of the person to receive the digital ticket (along with other detail as requested) and then press ‘Transfer’
The person receiving the transferred digital ticket will then be sent a link to create an account of their own, using the above procedures. Once their account has been created, their Season Ticket or Match Ticket will be transferred from your account – and you will therefore not be able to use that specific ticket from your own account to access the stadium on match day.
