Since its opening in 2021, we have continued to grow regional, national and international awareness of the qualities of the Stadium. We are extremely proud that our deliberate strategy of continual improvement and investment has attracted some of the largest names across a number of elite sports.
In November 2022 we hosted the Women’s Rugby League World Cup, the RFL BetFred Championship Summer Bash came to us in May 2023 and the England Men's Senior RFU Team visited us in March 2024. In 2025 we will be hosting 6 matches for the Women's Rugby World Cup.
As well as being the home ground for York City Football Club and York RLFC, we have been privileged to host first team pre-season friendly fixtures for Leeds United Football Club as well as a number of league and cup fixtures for their Under 21’s team. With Sheffield United and Hull City also visiting the Stadium on a regular basis for their Under 21 fixtures, our reputation of outstanding pitch and facilities continues to increase with many more exciting events planned for the future.
