Safety & Security

York Stadium work in close partnership with North Yorkshire Police and other partner agencies to ensure your safety and security. We have a number of different measures to keep you safe which  include our highly trained stewards and security personnel, searches, detection dogs and extensive CCTV as well as other measures that may not be visible.

Our highly trained teams of stewards and fan support staff work alongside the blue light services. If you see anything you think may be suspicious then please do not hesitate to alert your nearest steward, or police officer.

Project Servator

We work closely with North Yorkshire Police’s specially trained officers.

Together we use a range of security tactics to help keep people safe and allow everyone to enjoy visiting events at the stadium.

The officers will be on site during matches, but this is nothing to worry about. Feel free to talk to them if you want to find out more.

You can also play a vital role in helping to keep the stadium safe by reporting anything suspicious to either a member of our staff or the police. In addition, we have a text service where messages of concern can be reported straight to our control room. Text YORK and your message to 60060. (There is a £1 charge for this service).
